Cybersmart Detectives feedback
Thanks for all your help with the Cybersmart programme. It worked flawlessly and the students really enjoyed it. They got a lot from it and it stimulated a great deal of discussion. We are doing a lot of follow up work from this.

Many thanks for facilitating our participation in the Cybersmart Detectives activity. The students were totally engaged and I had lots of positive feedback at the end. There was a much higher awareness of the problems they could encounter by the end. Staff really enjoyed it also and were impressed to see all of the students so engaged in an activity. I think a few are reassessing how they use ICT in the classroom as it has raised the bar quite a bit.

This has been very successful. On the day of the activity it ran smoothly and the students were engrossed. Further followup is occurring with the year 7s and they're making cyber safety posters along with plenty of discussions, triggered directly from this activity. The marketing manager caught wind of this activity and she rarely misses an opportunity. She organised a photographer from the Southern Gazette to turn up during the activity so there may be a mention in this paper at some time. Thank you for your assistance in putting together this activity and running it at Penrhos. I hope we add this to our calendar as an annual event.

A big thankyou for this morning. The children were very engaged with the task and it reinforced strongly the 'be safe online' messages we were trying to promote. Some of the kids were really engrossed and took to it very seriously in terms of helping Sarah. I would certainly recommend it to others as the approach of using an almost instant messaging routine is very engaging for kids these days. Would you please pass on my thanks to the other agencies and their officers involved. I'd be interested in getting our Year 6's in for next term.
